Owner, Head Coach

Val

Val began her fitness career 8 years ago doing one to one in home training in Washington D.C., Chicago, & Prosper, TX. Val has spent the last 7 years training and coaching in the boutique fitness arena. Val is NASM certified in Personal Trainer & holds B.S. from Texas A &M University. She is TRX suspension training certified, a life member of IDEA Health & Fitness Association, and currently pursuing Precision Nutrition certification. Val McMurrough believes that fitness is a journey. “Fitness is not a one size fit all”. Your journey should be fun, rewarding, and life changing”. Over the years she has built reputation of genuinely caring for each and every client. She is 100% invested with the highest level of professionalism. Val works alongside of each client to coach and provide tools to help them succeed! She enjoys designing customized programming for specific goals, she knows when to push you, and knows when to pull back and find a balance.

Mother of 3 girls! Val herself knows the importance of staying healthy for her family. When she is not training or working out, Val loves to educate herself on fitness & business, enjoys cooking, and loves having “girl days” with her daughters.

Coach Amber

Amber is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. This afforded her the opportunity to continue her passion for fitness and helping others transform their lives.

She attended Grand Valley State University on a Track and Field Scholarship. She was part of the 2 time National Champion team.
She graduated with a B.S. in Physical Education with and emphasis on Sports Leaderships and Management as well as a minor in Business.

Professionally, outside of personal training, She has coached college track and field (sprints and hurdles); as well as heading the Strength and Conditioning programs for both women’s swimming and basketball at the collegiate level. She was an assistant coach for a local youth AAU/USA track and field program as well as  organizing kids camps for strength and conditioning.

Outside of Personal training Amber and her husband Jonathan have 3 little girls who keep them on their toes. Whether it’s cooking, crafting or playing outside they are always keeping busy.

Coach Kara

Kara has been in the Fitness industry for over 10 years and loves to help others reach their fitness goals.  She is AFAA Certified in Personal Training and Group Exercise. She graduated with a B.S. from Indiana University at Bloomington in Speech and Hearing Sciences and minor in Psychology.

Overall health and wellness has always been a passion for Kara. After having two children she wanted to help others find that passion as well. “Being an athlete and playing on a team has always been part of my life.  I am a person who enjoys meeting new people and loves to help.  Having a motivator to reach your goals is critical. My overall goal for my clients is to make them feel successful in our sessions while feeling comfortable no matter what stage they are at in their fitness journey.”  

As a fitness professional she holds a number of certifications. Schwinn spin, TRX and Box N Burn are just a few she utilizes the most with her clients. Kara and her husband, Nick, have two children and two dogs. When she is not working out you will find her on their boat and enjoying lake life as much as possible.

Coach Janice, CSCS

Janice is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She graduated with a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an M.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. 

After having worked in a variety of corporate, academic, and research engineering settings and having three children, Janice shifted her focus to coaching high school soccer, basketball, and personal training.  She spent 8 seasons coaching varsity girls soccer and basketball in Aurora and Carol Stream.  As a personal trainer, she was an ambassador for the Viking Ninja Bodyweight program and trains with a variety of conventional (barbell, kettlebell, etc.) and unconventional tools (steel mace/clubs) as well as being certified in Box N Burn and TRX.⁣


Janice and her husband, Dave, have three teenage girls and two crazy dogs. When not working out, Janice can be found driving the girls, playing fetch with the dogs, or starting a DIY project.
